This was Gaudi’s project for New York city!!

Yes, you have read correctly! Architect Antoni Gaudí was commissioned in 1908 by two American businessman to design the “Attraction Hotel” in Manhattan.

This Hotel-skyscraper was planed to raise at 360 meters. It would have been the tallest building in the city back then. Just a little bit less than the Empire State building (381m, built in 1931).

It is unknown why this project was never done. It is said that probably, it was difficult for Gaudí to travel to New York to supervise the works, at the time he was working in more than 5 projects simultaneously in #Barcelona. .
